Dru Nagle relocated from Wellington, Florida to the Bay Area late in 2018.  Primarily a jumper trainer, she also has a diverse professional background which includes training thoroughbred race horses, rehab and conditioning of sport horses, polo, and serving as an executive board member for several horse related non-profit organizations.  She also has extensive horse show and farm management experience.

As a junior, Dru, originally from Northeastern Ohio, rode the jumper and equitation circuit in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York while training with the late Ted Minor.  As a young adult, she lived in Maine and rode jumpers, saddle seat Morgans, and trained with Olympic Dressage rider, Michael Poulin, in Wiscasset ME.

Dru then took a brief hiatus from horses, returned to Ohio, and completed her education with a degree in Business Management and Accounting.  After several corporate jobs she relocated to Key West in 1985, and lived on a houseboat with her young daughter, greyhound, and parrot, and worked for the singer,Jimmy Buffett, as Comptroller and General Manager of the original Margaritaville Store Inc. and its related businesses.  Life was great, but she started to miss the horses and teaching, so she moved to the “Horse Show and Polo Capital of the US”, Wellington, FL, and resumed her horse career.  There she owned and operated her own show barn and riding school, and further developed her passion for show jumping by training with various top Grand Prix jumper riders.  However, teaching is what she enjoys the most, so even while working in other areas such as training race horses, she managed to always keep a couple of students.

After moving to the Bay Area, Dru worked as a Trainer and Instructor at a local ranch.  Now she has her own facility again.  Whether you are an Adult or Junior student interested in showing or just pleasure riding, an owner who needs help with your own horse with training or rehab, or are looking for a great place to board your horse, Dru is more than willing and happy to work with you.

We look forward to riding with you.
